Sr.Hardware Engineer/ Staff Engineer * 1 (xDSL/VoIP/WLAN)
Job Description:
Responsible for HW development and verification including:
1. Design of PCB reference boards including schematic and layout design
2. Bring-up and verification of SOCs on a chip and system level
3. Writing of verification plans, test documentation and application notes
4. Definition and project management of HW development including external partners such as board manufacturers
5. Working closely with the different project leaders internally to reach the committed project milestones
6. Analysis of hardware related system issues including debugging
Requirements:
1. Should have a MS degree in the field of EE or related fields
2. Know how of commonly used board design tools such as Orcad
Gemtek also use Orcad as design tool.
3. Know how of hardware design of xDSL/VoIP/WLAN as well as Gigabit Ethernet products
During these years at Gemtek, I focus at xDSL product with VoIP function which including FxS and FxO. I ever used Broadcom, Ikanos and Infineon chipsets as xDSL solution and SilconLab and Legerity as VoIP solution. At these products, I also used Ralink 11N chipset on board for WLAN. So, I think that it’s ok for me about IAD product.
4. Know how of peripheral interfaces such as USB, PCI, MII/GMII, UART, SPI and PCM
These interfaces are very normally for IAD product. It’s OK!
5. Know how of common hardware design issues such as high speed signaling, power integrity and DC/DC converter etc
It is fine for me about design the DC to DC and LDO power.
6. Know how of system level certification standards such as EMI and ESD
I know the CE and CFF certification for IAD product. Solving the EMI, ESD and safety issue is must for me when develop the product.
7. Familiar with test equipment such as spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, logic analyzer and scopes
OK!
8. Deep know how of problem solving and chip level debugging
Problem’s solving and debugging are my job.
9. >6 years of relevant work experience in HW system design and development
10. >2 years of relevant work experience in the CPE equipment development or communication field
I have 3 years experiment.
11. Relevant know how of processes for professional hardware development flows over a full life cycle
From EVT, DVT to MP state,
12. Strong communication skills and ability to work within a multicultural and global team based in different world wide locations
